Perform diverse IR procedures using cutting‑edge technology in world‑class facilities. The Interventional Radiology team at Waikato Hospital offers a range of procedures including angioplasty, stenting, embolization, biopsy and drainage procedures. You will collaborate with a supportive team to deliver advanced interventional radiology care to a large, varied population with a breadth of pathology and case mix, including unique infections, indigenous health issues and rural medicine.

About the Hospital and Team\n

Waikato Hospital is a major tertiary teaching hospital and the regional hub for the Midland area, serving communities across Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Lakes, Tairawhiti, and Taranaki. With 722 inpatient beds, 22 operating theatres, and a dedicated outpatient clinic and procedure centre, the hospital offers comprehensive services including radiology, laboratory, and pharmacy. Located on the Waiora Waikato Hospital Campus, the facility is equipped with advanced diagnostic and treatment facilities and supported by both road and air ambulance services. The IR service operates within this dynamic environment, backed by a philosophy of continuous innovation. As part of the IR team, you will contribute to clinical excellence while engaging in research and teaching activities, with strong academic ties to the University of Auckland, University of Waikato, and Wintec.

About You\n

You must have completed five years of radiology training and an interventional radiology fellowship and/or experience. You must be eligible for either Locum Tenens or Vocational registration in the scope of Diagnostic & Interventional Radiology with the Medical Council of NewZealand.
