Metal Casting Worker

Experienced Foundry Workers with 2 years experience required for a busy Christchurch manufacturerEnterprise is recruiting experienced Foundry Workers for our Christchurch based client, who is a local & global leader in waterjet propulsion systems manufacturing.\n
\nThey have several positions due to increased production requirements and are looking for candidates with proven foundry experience.\n

\n The job: \n
\n

\n
• Operate furnaces to melt and pour metals
\n
• Remove sand moulds and refine castings using water blasters and metal grinders
\n
• Repair and finish products, deburring surface imperfections
\n
• Operate lifting equipment such as gantry cranes to hand heavy castings
\n
• Follow strict health and safety guidelines
\n

About you: \n
\n

\n
• Previous experience within a metal casting and foundry environment
\n
• Proficiency with core making, floor moulding, metal pouring, fettling and knock-out operations.
\n
• Experience using measurement tools, bandsaws and powered foundry machinery
\n
• Able to handle exposure to extreme temperatures (700°C - 1600°C) wearing full body protective equipment
\n
• Excellent communication to follow technical verbal instructions
\n
• Ability to work independently
\n
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts
\n

• 30 hour work week guaranteed, Monday to Friday
