Opportunity for a Specialist Orthodontist in a modern, world‑renowned tertiary hospital in beautiful Auckland. The position is part‑time, permanent, based at Middlemore Hospital.
Role Summary\nWe have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Specialist Orthodontist to join our busy Hospital & Specialist Dentistry team in Auckland. The position is 0.25FTE (10 hours) per week and includes caring for children with cleft lip and palate and contributing to the care of patients with other craniofacial abnormalities. You will be joining a supportive team of two orthodontists, an orthodontic auxiliary and a wider multidisciplinary team of oral and maxillofacial surgeons, plastic surgeons, dental specialists and dentists. The role offers opportunities for ongoing professional development and potential research involvement.
Responsibilities\n- \n
- Caring for children with cleft lip and palate and other craniofacial abnormalities. \n
- Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team including oral and maxillofacial surgeons, plastic surgeons, dental specialists and dentists. \n
- Contributing to ongoing professional development and potential research involvement. \n
- \n
- Qualified dental professional with current registration and an Annual Practising Certificate (APC) from the Dental Council of New Zealand or eligible for registration as a Specialist Orthodontist. \n
- Minimum of two years post‑specialisation clinical experience. \n
- Demonstrated collaborative approach and ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment. \n
