About the Role\n

The purpose of the Senior Cyber Security Engineer - PAM (Privileged Access Management) role is to work alongside Westpac’s Cyber Security Identity & Access Management Team to complete assessments, identify network vulnerabilities, maintain and support existing privileged access management platform, configure and enhance its existing security features. Senior Engineers lead the team in performing incident response, documentation and resolution of technical faults related to our Privilege Access Management Platform. Senior Cyber Security Engineers working within the Cyber Security – Privileged Access Management Squad will be proficient in:

  • Understanding complex technical issues and managing them within a fast‑paced business environment.
  • \n
  • In depth understanding and experience maintaining PAM software and hardware.
  • \n
  • Lead the identification of current and emerging technology issues including security trends, vulnerabilities, and threats.
  • \n
  • Pushing the status quo of our PAM platform to ensure its continuous uplifts.
  • \n
  • Conducting proactive research to analyse security weaknesses and recommend appropriate strategies.
  • \n
  • Liaising with vendors to implement security solutions.
  • \n
What will you bring?\n
    \n
  • Proven experience as a seasoned Enterprise Grade Senior PAM Engineer/Architect.
  • \n
  • Experience bridging the gap between Architecture & Engineering.
  • \n
  • In depth knowledge of ITDR.
  • \n
  • Experience with automation / interrogation tools & workflows.
  • \n
  • Thorough understanding of information security best practice (e.g. NIST, CIS, ISO27001).
  • \n
