The Land Quality & Remediation team in Auckland is looking for a highly experienced Senior Environmental Project Consultant. This permanent, full‑time role requires over 10 years of experience in contaminated land investigation, environmental monitoring programs, and Acid Sulfate Soils assessment.

Responsibilities\n
    \n
  • Undertake PSIs, DSIs, remediation, validation and environmental monitoring.
  • \n
  • Perform fieldwork including sampling of soil, soil vapour, sediment, acid sulphate soils, surface water, groundwater, and landfill gas, as well as well installation and logging.
  • \n
  • Prepare quality reports (PSI, SAQP, DSI, RAPs, validation reports) and demonstrate an understanding of QA/QC requirements.
  • \n
  • Prepare proposals, lead project management, and review PSIs and simple DSIs.
  • \n
  • Analyze and interpret data with confidence.
  • \n
  • Engage in professional development and professional associations.
  • \n
  • Work within multidisciplinary teams on diverse projects.
  • \n
  • Develop client peer relationships.
  • \n
Qualifications\n
    \n
  • Professional qualification in environmental science, engineering, geology, hydrogeology, soil science or a related earth science discipline.
  • \n
  • Minimum 10 years of professional experience.
  • \n
  • Proven experience in proposal preparation, project management and leading small project teams.
  • \n
  • Ability to build client relationships, focus on delivery, and identify repeat business opportunities.
  • \n
  • Demonstrated success in winning and delivering PSIs and simple DSIs.
  • \n
  • Strong capability in contaminated land investigation, management, and monitoring programs.
  • \n
  • Knowledge of regulatory environment and national guidelines.
  • \n
  • Completion of field programs and scoping for senior practitioners.
  • \n
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; technical report writing ability.
  • \n
  • Computer literacy in data management and manipulation.
  • \n
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and self‑motivation.
  • \n
  • Strong collaboration and support for a positive team culture.
  • \n
  • Current unrestricted driver’s licence and good driving record.
  • \n
Benefits\n
