Senior Family Solicitor

My prestigious client is seeking a Senior Family Solicitor to join their team in Auckland. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced practitioner to take on a varied and rewarding caseload while contributing to the firm's strong reputation in family law.

• Supporting clients with legal advice and representation across a broad range of family law matters, including separation, divorce, child custody, guardianship disputes, adoption, and property settlements.
\n
• Represent clients in the Family Court, mediations, and other dispute resolution processes.
\n
• Draft high-quality legal documents including affidavits, applications, submissions, and court pleadings.
\n
• Manage a varied and busy caseload with professionalism, empathy, and efficiency.
\n
• Maintain strong and trusting relationships with clients through clear communication and regular updates.
\n
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and support staff to ensure the delivery of seamless, client-centred legal services.
\n
• Stay current with developments in New Zealand family law and contribute to legal thought leadership where appropriate.
\n

• 3+ years' PQE in family law.
\n
• Proven ability to handle a full range of family law matters with competence and compassion.
\n
• Strong legal acumen with excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem‑solving skills.
\n
• Proactive and self‑motivated, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
\n
• Client‑focused, with a deep understanding of the emotional and social dynamics in family law matters.
\n
• Skilled in negotiation and advocacy, with a track record of securing positive outcomes for clients.
\n
• A positive mentoring style and genuine interest in the development of junior lawyers.
\n
• Business development savvy, with an interest in contributing to the growth of the practice.
