Job Description
Our client, Silver Shine Chassis & Trailer Pty Ltd is seeking two experienced Welders to join their team. \n
\n
\nJob Description:\n
\n•Perform MIG, and ARC welding on steel, aluminium, and other metals to manufacture and repair chassis and related components.\n
\n•Interpret and work from blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical documents to accurately fabricate chassis components.\n
\n•Fit and weld metal components with precision, ensuring alignment and structural integrity.\n
\n•Grinding and smoothing welded joints to achieve a clean finish and meet surface standards. \n
\n•Conduct inspections of completed welds to ensure adherence to safety standards and specifications.\n
\n•Identify and correct any defects or inconsistencies in the welds, ensuring the final product meets quality control standards.\n
\n•Repairing or replacing damaged metal parts by welding, cutting, or grinding. \n
\n•Monitoring the heat and temperature of the welding process to avoid overheating and ensure proper penetration. \n
\n•Grinding and smoothing welded joints to achieve a clean finish and meet surface standards. \n
\n•Maintaining accurate records of welding activities, including materials used, tasks completed, and any defects found. \n
\n•Operate welding equipment, cutting tools, and machinery following safety guidelines and procedures.\n
\n•Adhere to workplace safety standards, maintaining a clean and organized work area.\n
\n•Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.\n
\n•Work closely with other team members such as fabricators, machinists, and production supervisors to meet production timelines.\n
\n•Provide input during production meetings to help identify potential issues and solutions in the manufacturing process.\n
\n•Maintain welding equipment and tools, conducting regular checks to ensure they are in proper working condition.\n
\n•Perform minor repairs and adjustments on equipment as necessary to ensure continuous operation and reduce downtime.\n

\nEligibility Criteria:\n
\n•Certificate III in Engineering (Fabrication Trade).\n
\n•3 Years of Full Time Work experience as a first-class welder.\n
\n•Experienced in a variety of welding techniques and processes.\n
\n•Dedicated and hardworking, with a strong willingness to follow instructions and learn new procedures.\n
\n•Self-motivated team player, eager to collaborate and share knowledge with others.\n
\n•Strong time management skills, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and on schedule.\n
\n•Proactive, with the ability to take initiative and apply problem-solving skills effectively.\n
\n•Possesses clear and confident communication skills, both verbal and written\n
\n
\nSalary Range: $75,000 to $85,000
