About the Role

We are seeking experienced ABAP Developer to join our SAP Technology practice, leading the design, development, and delivery of SAP solutions across a range of customer engagements. You will play a key role in developing modern SAP applications and extensions, particularly within SAP S/4HANA environments, while also providing a smaller amount of support and enhancement work for existing customers. You will work alongside experienced functional and technical consultants, architects, and project managers to deliver high-quality outcomes that create real business value for our clients.

Remote from anywhere in NZ or Australia.

Your tasks and responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and deploy SAP solutions using ABAP and SAP RAP.
  • Build and enhance applications within SAP S/4HANA and SAP BTP environments.
  • Develop OData services, CDS Views, business objects, and Fiori-enabled applications.
  • Participate in solution architecture, technical design, and development workshops with customers.
  • Lead technical design discussions and provide guidance to junior consultants and developers.
  • Collaborate closely with functional consultants to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
  • Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to development standards and best practices.
  • Deliver project outcomes within agreed timelines and quality expectations.
  • Provide support, troubleshooting, and enhancement services for existing customer solutions as required.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, technical assets, and delivery methodologies.

Your qualifications and experience

  • 5+ years of SAP ABAP development experience.
  • Strong hands-on experience with SAP RAP (RESTful Application Programming Model).
  • Experience developing solutions within SAP S/4HANA environments.
  • Strong understanding of ABAP OO, CDS Views, OData services, and SAP Gateway technologies.
  • Experience developing and extending SAP Fiori applications.
  • Exposure to SAP BTP development concepts and services.
  • Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimisation skills.
  • Experience working on end-to-end SAP implementation and enhancement projects.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative consulting team.
