Graduates at Deloitte have a week-long induction to learn about the business, get paired with a buddy and coach to help them find their place in the team, and build connections with almost 200 other graduates doing the exact same thing! You are not on a 'programme' and instead inducted into the business as a key member of the team from day one. Once you sign your contract with Deloitte, you will start in February the year following. Job Description
Operations, Industry & Domain Solutions is an offering within our Technology and Transformation Business Unit. The team acts as the bridge between strategy and value, to make change happen for industry. As a Graduate in our Operations, Industry & Domain Solutions team, you will be a key member on project teams helping clients from a broad range of industries to develop and implement operational strategies and solutions that drive greater efficiencies and better outcomes across organisations. This includes redesigning core processes for clients, transforming the way they operate, restructuring organisations, and supporting our Deloitte colleagues in launching the latest digital solutions, such as AI-driven customer engagement platforms. Our Wellington team predominantly works alongside the Government and Public Sector, while our Auckland roles supports private companies and the Financial Services Industry. However, we operate as a unified team and offer diverse opportunities to explore your interests across a broad range of industries, no matter your location.

- Operations Excellence -We develop solutions that streamline information sharing, optimise resource use, boost efficiency, and deliver improved results.
- Transformation Design & Integration -We help clients adopt a more flexible approach to change by focusing on customer needs and supporting staff to feel empowered and resilient.
- Strategic Cost Transformation - We find ways to improve costs while ensuring these savings are sustainable, providing a solid base for future growth.
- Operating model design - We create comprehensive plans that show how people, technology, and processes can work together for improved performance and delivery.
- Transformation / programme establishment - We assist in launching transformation programmes by setting up a dedicated office to guide change, create a clear vision, and organise essential tasks, all while uplifting the internal capability of our clients.
We have in-depth industry experience:
Government and Public Services- Our team works directly alongside clients to provide end-to-end services for large-scale and transformative change. We lead programmes where human outcomes or operational improvement is the primary focus. Challenges may be targeted, such as process improvement, or far-reaching, such as establishing a brand new programme or business unit; however, we are well equipped to support and provide solutions to any ask that comes our way.
Core Banking Excellence - Leverage game-changing digital technologies to bring agility and efficiency to banking operations and energise customer engagement. Our solutions range from selection, planning, operational improvement, implementation and the operation of core technologies across retail and commercial banking areas.
Insurance- Our Transformation services drive administrative and operational improvements in the insurance industry through the implementation and operation of enterprise technologies. Our teams guide clients through selection, planning, deployment and operation of a range of vendor solution.
Health Practice- Our teams work within the health sector delivering systems focused on the health and well-being of patients and whanau across strategy and performance, people and capability, digital health, Hauora Maori & Equity, building trust and confidence and smart investing,
Hourua Pae Rau - Maori Services- Help organisations develop their Cultural Capability and competencies, whilst also measuring and designing for equity, Pas Peau for Pacific Health as well as Pae Ora and Te Tiriti are core teams focused on Pacific and Maori people in particular. We also help address Maori and Pacific Workforce capabilities and help the Health system extend into the broader Social Determinants of Health (e.g. Housing, Education, Social).
Your typical day will include:
- Analysing data to identify business challenges and opportunities for improvement
- Participating in client meetings to gather requirements, present findings, and update on project progress
- Working as part of a team and collaborate with other consulting disciplines to deliver multidisciplinary solutions for our clients
- The opportunity to integrate with client teams and work on client site when required
- Attending hands on training sessions and workshops to enhance core technical and soft skills
- Engagingwith project coaches to receive guidance and feedback
