Painter

SR Renovation Limited located in Wellington is a renovation and construction company. Currently we are in need of 2 Painters in line with our increasing projects at hand.

Your duties may include but not limited to:

• erecting scaffolding and ladders, and placing drop sheets to protect adjacent areas from paint splattering
\n
• preparing surfaces by removing old paint and wallpaper, fixing woodwork, filling holes and cracks, and smoothing and sealing surfaces
\n
• selecting and preparing paints to required colours by mixing portions of pigment, oil, and thinning and drying additives
\n
• applying paints, varnishes and stains to surfaces using brushes, rollers and sprays
\n
• hanging wallpaper, matching patterns and trimming edges
\n
• cleaning equipment and work areas
\n
• may repair windows and replace glass in wooden and metal frames
\n
• may lay and repair wall and floor tiles
\n

To be successful in this role, you

• NZQF Level 4 qualification in the field relevant to painting/construction, or at least two years relevant work experience is required

• Be a person with a detailed eye for safety issues

• Clean police record

• Can pass drug tests

• Be able to travel and work in different sites

Other Details:

Work location: different sites within Wellington region

Length of employment: Full time and permanent

Hourly rate: $30 to $40 per hour

Hours: 40 hours per week (Minimum 30 hours guaranteed).
