Construction Worker

Job Title: Construction Worker
\n Location: Auckland, New Zealand
\n Employment Type: Full-Time | Permanent

Minimum Hours: 30 hours per week
\n Hourly Wage: $25-$30

Key tasks:

• Taking apart or constructing scaffolding, bracing and other temporary structures for the construction site
\n • Prepare for the construction site, loading, unloading of material.
\n • Assist tradesmen and machine operators in construction projects
\n • Erect and break up scaffolding, ramps etc.
\n • Unload and carry materials at construction sites
\n • Use equipment to break old forms and structures
\n • To demolish structures according to the instructions
\n • Prepare and apply construction materials to build structures or fill gaps
\n • Smooth and level new concrete or other materials
\n • Clean out site from debris and discarded material

Role requirement:

\n
• Experience is preferred but not essential. Basic training will be provided.
\n
• Ability to operate hand held equipment
\n
• Knowledge of mixing and pouring construction material
\n
• Able to work in a team
\n
• Excellent balance and eye-hand coordination
\n
• Good work attitude and good communication skills
\n
• Physical fitness and could handle the heavy workload and can work outdoor in hot and cold season.
\n
• Quality workmanship and eye for detail
\n
• Ability to work flexible hours
\n
• A pre-employment medical, criminal history and drug and alcohol screen is necessary.
\n
• Valid Class 1 Drviers Licence required to commute to work sites.
\n
