About the role

In this role you will support our manufacturing operations by improving processes, resolving technical challenges, and driving continuous improvement across AROA's product lines.As an Operations Engineer, you will work closely with Production, Quality, Process Engineering, Technical Services and Facilities teams to identify opportunities, investigate issues and implement practical engineering solutions that improve efficiency, reliability and product quality.

Key responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot manufacturing issues and implement engineering solutions
  • Monitor production processes and identify improvement opportunities
  • Support root cause investigations and quality event resolution
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing processes
  • Support process improvements, including tooling, jigs, fixtures and layouts
  • Assist with manufacturing transfers and process validation activities
  • Maintain engineering documentation, including NCRs, CCFs and operational reports
  • Apply engineering standards and best practices across operations
  • Assist with packaging design improvements and manufacturing processes, ensuring packaging solutions meet quality, regulatory, and operational requirements.



About you

You are a hands-on engineer who enjoys solving technical challenges, improving manufacturing processes and working closely with production teams. You will bring strong engineering capability, a continuous improvement mindset and the ability to collaborate across multiple functions. You will ideally have:

  • A tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
  • 3-5 years' experience in operations, manufacturing or production engineering within a GMP-regulated environment
  • Experience in medical device, pharmaceutical, biotechnology or another regulated manufacturing industry
  • Understanding of GMP, GDP, process validation, traceability and quality systems
  • Experience with root cause analysis and problem-solving methodologies
  • Experience with CAD design and 3D modelling software (SolidWorks preferred)
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, fabrication techniques and design for manufacturability
  • Basic knowledge of packaging design from a manufacturing perspective, including design for manufacturability, material selection, process capability, and production efficiency, together with an understanding of packaging regulatory and compliance requirements in a regulated manufacturing environment
