Are you a hands-on technical leader with a passion for building strong customer relationships and driving business growth? At IMG, we’re looking for a Technical Solutions Manager to be the face of our business in the industry - someone who can connect with customers, provide expert solutions, and ensure our workshop teams deliver high-quality results every time. About the Role This is a key role where you’ll balance customer engagement, technical expertise, and operational leadership. You’ll be responsible for: Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers Identifying and securing new business opportunities Providing practical technical advice to workshop teams Ensuring jobs are accurately quoted, delivered on time, and meet customer expectations You’ll work closely with the Branch Manager to help drive performance, improve processes, and achieve business targets. Key Responsibilities Customer & Account Management Develop long-term relationships with existing and potential customers Understand customer needs and provide tailored technical solutions Act as the main point of contact, resolving issues quickly and professionally Ensure customers are kept informed throughout project delivery Identify additional sales opportunities during inspections and site visits Workshop & Operations Support Plan, coordinate, and track workshop jobs to meet deadlines and quality standards Provide technical guidance to workshop teams to support best practice Work with sales to ensure parts, tools, and resources are ready for jobs Monitor job progress, variations, and costs to support decision-making Maintain high standards of productivity and workmanship Leadership & Team Support Support and mentor team members through coaching and guidance Contribute to a high-performing, customer-focused team culture Provide regular feedback and support development opportunities Work collaboratively across teams to improve outcomes Health, Safety & Quality Champion a strong Safety First culture Ensure risks are managed and incidents are reported Maintain compliance with all policies and procedures Commit to delivering high-quality work that meets or exceeds standards What We’re Looking For Trade qualification in an engineering or related field Hydraulic experience Proven experience in a leadership role (engineering/manufacturing preferred) Strong sales and business development ability Solid understanding of workshop operations and technical processes Experience with budgeting, job costing, and financial performance Excellent communication and relationship-building skills Full NZ driver’s licence About You You’ll be someone who is: Results-driven and focused on achieving business goals Confident working with both customers and technical teams Proactive, solutions-focused, and able to think on your feet A natural leader who supports and motivates others Committed to safety, quality, and continuous improvement Appointment to this role is subject to: Drug and alcohol screening Right to work in New Zealand in accordance with Immigration New Zealand requirements #J-18808-Ljbffr
