Water is an everyday essential that every community depends on. About The Job We’re looking for a keen Water Technician to join our team of everyday heroes. You will be responsible for operating and maintaining small water and wastewater treatment plants and responding to reactive callouts. You will work to become familiar with both water and wastewater treatment to carry out remedial works. Availability for on‑call work is required, and your work will predominantly be based within the central and western Auckland regions, with occasional assignments further afield. What You’ll Need Experience in the civil water and drainage industry in New Zealand, preferably with treatment plant experience. Excellent English communication skills and a quick learning ability. A well‑organised planner of works. Physical fitness, health and safety focus, and the ability to work well in a team as well as independently. A full class 1 licence and the ability to drive a manual vehicle. All preferred candidates will be required to complete pre‑employment checks to the employer’s satisfaction, including a Ministry of Justice criminal conviction report, medical assessment, and drug and alcohol testing.
