Senior Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical / Hydraulics Engineer to join our growing team of industry professionals. This is an opportunity for a motivated engineer with strong HVAC and hydraulic design expertise to take ownership of projects and deliver high-quality, practical solutions. What You’ll Do: Lead and manage the design of HVAC and hydraulics services projects for commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects Perform detailed load calculations, system sizing, and energy analysis Prepare and review technical drawings, specifications, and cost estimates Oversee and support installation, commissioning, and project delivery Coordinate with clients, contractors, architects, and project managers to ensure project objectives are met Provide technical leadership and mentor junior engineers where required Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex engineering issues What We’re Looking For: 10+ years of experience in HVAC and hydraulics design within a consulting or contracting environment Degree-qualified in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) or actively pursuing Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Carrier HAP, and Microsoft Office Suite Strong understanding of the New Zealand Building Code and relevant HVAC & hydraulic standards Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver to deadlines Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills A proactive approach with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team We Offer: Diverse and engaging projects across the South Island A newly created role driven by continued business growth Opportunities to work closely with key stakeholders across a range of disciplines Ongoing professional development and training support A collaborative and supportive team environment Exposure to a wide variety of exciting and technically challenging projects #J-18808-Ljbffr
