Te Kaupeka Oranga | Faculty of Health University of Canterbury | Te Whare Wananga of Waitaha Located in Christchurch, New Zealand | Aotearoa Āu Mahi | What You Will Do Our Nursing Team within Te Kaupeka Oranga | the Faculty of Health are looking for new colleagues to join us on a casual basis within our exciting nursing programmes. Clinical Educators will work closely with the Nursing Clinical Co‑ordinator and as a member of the wider nursing academic team, to facilitate quality learning for pre‑registration students across a range of practice settings. Clinical educators may participate in course development, simulation and assessment including marking of assignments. Mōu | Who You Are The successful candidate will be a New Zealand registered nurse with at least three years’ experience. Preference will be given to those with mental health experience. You will have advanced clinical assessment skills and recent clinical practice. You will also be able to connect this with a strong understanding of bicultural confidence and competence. Applicants will need to demonstrate the following characteristics: At least three years’ experience as a registered nurse in New Zealand Advanced clinical assessment skills and recent clinical practice A commitment to high quality clinical learning and teaching Flexibility and proven experience as an excellent team player Competence in computer skills, including the use of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) An interest in contributing to and participating in research projects and other innovations Active commitment to upholding the values, tikanga (protocols and processes), kawa (rules) of cultural practice and traditions as guided by mana whenua, Ngāi Tūāhuriri, and valuing te reo Māori Mahi Ngātahi | Who You Will Work With Te Kaupeka Oranga | Faculty of Health offers undergraduate and postgraduate programmes and research activities that respond to the dynamic nature of the health and sport sectors and their workforce.
