About the role | Mō te tūranga mahi As a Workforce Modeller, you will play a key role in shaping how our Service Delivery workforce is planned and supported. This role focuses on developing, maintaining, and continuously improving complex models that guide operational decision‑making. Your modelling insights will help ensure we have the right workforce capacity, at the right time, to meet customer needs and achieve our strategic goals. You'll join a team that plays a critical role in ensuring ACC can respond to changing customer demand, making a tangible impact on workforce strategy and service delivery outcomes. This is a permanent, full‑time opportunity, with flexible location options including Auckland, Hamilton, Wellington, Christchurch, or Dunedin. In this role, you will: Deliver accurate modelling, forecasts, prototypes, and analytical solutions that enable effective business decisions Extract, transform, and analyse complex datasets using tools such as Python, SQL, SAS or R to generate actionable insights Document modelling methodologies to ensure transparency and reproducibility Provide expert advice on how operational or process changes may affect workforce capacity and performance Prepare clear summaries, visualisations, and presentations to communicate analytical findings to diverse stakeholders Identify improvements to existing models, reporting processes, and analytical tools to enhance accuracy and efficiency Contribute to validation, testing, peer review, and continuous uplift of modelling capability across the team About you | Mōu You're an experienced Workforce Modeller who combines strong analytical expertise with a pragmatic, delivery‑focused mindset and enjoys turning complex data into practical workforce planning solutions. You'll have demonstrated experience applying best‑practice modelling techniques, developing robust forecasting models, and/or building complex supply and demand, capacity, multivariate models that support high‑quality operational and strategic decision‑making. You’ll be the type of person who rolls up their sleeves, navigates challenges with resilience, and remains focused on delivering meaningful outcomes. You'll bring experience in: Developing and enhancing complex workforce planning models Applying best‑practice modelling techniques and robust forecasting approaches Building supply and demand, capacity, and multivariate models Translating analysis into practical recommendations that support operational and strategic decision‑making Solving complex problems and delivering meaningful outcomes in a dynamic environment Working within Service Delivery, you'll play a key role in shaping workforce planning decisions by providing robust modelling, insightful analysis, and practical recommendations. Your work will help ensure we have the right capacity, at the right time, to meet customer demand and support strategic goals. Most importantly, you'll bring a proactive approach, a strong sense of ownership, and a determination to get things done, transforming complex problems into clear, actionable solutions that make a real impact. The appointing salary for this role will sit between $101,287 and $131,077 and we offer an additional 9% superannuation contribution.
