The Role As an experienced heavy‑truck technician based in Palmerston North, you will diagnose and repair mechanical issues using advanced diagnostic tools, conduct routine maintenance, service, and inspections to keep our trucks performing at their best. You will collaborate with experienced professionals, mentor apprentices, and continuously grow your skills. Key Responsibilities Diagnose and repair mechanical issues on Volvo, UD, Hino, Mack, Volvo and UD trucks. Perform routine maintenance, service, and inspections. Use cutting‑edge diagnostic tools and equipment. Collaborate with team members and mentor apprentices. Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a proactive mindset. Excellent problem‑solving skills. Class 5 license (or willingness to obtain). NZQA LV4 in Heavy Road Transport or Heavy Plant & Equipment Reliability. Willingness to commit to the team. International candidates must have NZQA qualifications assessed and hold an IQA certificate equivalent to Level4 in heavy automotive.
