About the role Reporting to the QA Laboratory Manager – Auckland, the Quality Assurance Technologist plays a key role in supporting the site’s quality and food safety programs. Working closely with Production and cross‑functional teams, you will help ensure that raw materials, in‑process products, and finished goods consistently meet customer, regulatory, and company quality standards. You will also contribute to the continuous improvement of quality systems and food safety practices across the site. Work Location: Otahuhu – Auckland Key responsibilities Conduct product testing and support the timely release of raw materials and finished goods. Manage and maintain the Environmental Monitoring Program (EMP) to ensure compliance with food safety standards. Support site hygiene and sanitation programs through routine inspections, monitoring, and verification activities. Assist with continuous improvement initiatives that enhance product quality, food safety, and operational performance. Support the implementation and maintenance of HACCP and other risk assessment programs. Maintain and improve site Quality Management Systems to ensure compliance with Kerry Global Quality Standards, customer requirements, regulatory requirements, and GFSI‑recognized standards. Provide document control support, including the development, review, and maintenance of quality procedures, work instructions, and training documentation. Support quality‑related activities within Intelex and SAP systems, ensuring accurate data management and reporting. Participate in internal, customer, and third‑party audits, supporting audit preparation, execution, and follow‑up activities. Assist with complaint investigations, internal non‑conformance management, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation. Undertake other quality assurance and laboratory duties as required. Qualifications and skills A Degree or Diploma in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related discipline. 3–5 years of experience in a food manufacturing, FMCG, quality assurance, or food safety environment. Sound knowledge of HACCP principles and food safety management systems. Understanding of industry standards and certification schemes, including GMP, BRCGS, FSSC 22000, and ISO 22000. Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and attention‑to‑detail skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across multiple functions. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Windows‑based computer applications. Experience using SAP or similar ERP systems would be advantageous. A proactive approach to continuous improvement and maintaining high quality and food safety standards. #J-18808-Ljbffr
