Job Description

Permanent full-time position in Tauranga Community Mental Health and Addiction Service. About the Role The appointee will provide specialist psychiatric input within Adult Mental Health and Addictions, working as part of our Tauranga Community Acute Care Team (ACT). ACT includes intake, crisis intervention and the Home-Based Treatment Team (HBTT). In this role, the psychiatrist will work in close partnership with the ACT Team Leader to provide clinical leadership, education and support to the multidisciplinary team. The applicant will collaborate closely with the HBTT psychiatrist, but will not be responsible for HBTT. This position is part of a large, well-established multidisciplinary team comprising nurses, social workers, occupational therapists and psychologists within the Community Mental Health and Addiction Service, based at Tauranga Hospital.
