Senior Design Engineer

MEL 2020 Ltd, trading as Mainstream Engineering Consultants, is an established engineering consultancy operating in NZ and Australia and with offices in Kawerau, Hamilton and Christchurch. This role will be based in the Bay of Plenty. Our experienced team have been providing solutions to industry since 2004. Utilising the latest in 3D modelling software along with practical know-how, our aim is to provide first class services that meet the needs of our clients. Key skills and attributes for this role include: Bachelor of Engineering – Mechanical Engineering (Design). Highly proficient in 3D Design packages, including AutoCAD Plant 3D, Inventor/Solidworks. 7 + years proven Design Engineering experience in an industrial environment with experience in Pulp and Paper, Food and Beverage and/or other heavy industry. Experience in an engineering consultancy environment is preferable. Excellent written, communication and Microsoft Office skills. Full Class 1 Driver’s Licence. Willingness to take on responsibility and make decisions with a passion for exceeding customer expectations. Innovative thinking, with a practical approach and an aspiration to make a positive impact within a supportive team. Self-motivated with a work ethic of continuous improvement.
