Role Responsibilities Diagnose and repair mechanical faults in sawmill equipment Conduct routine maintenance and inspections Install and upgrade machinery as required Work collaboratively with the maintenance and production teams Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations Hours Shift One: Mon‑Thurs 12:30pm to 11:30pm. Shift Two: Tues‑Fri 6am to 4:30pm and Saturdays 6am‑2:30pm. Saturdays are paid at time and a half. What We’re Looking For Level 4 Trade qualification in Mechanical Fitting. 5+ years’ experience in sawmill or heavy industrial environments (preferred). A working knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems with an ability to read schematic drawing. Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Forklift OSH or F Endorsement. Must be comfortable working at heights. Commitment to workplace safety.
