Job Summary Role: Regional Leadership Advisor Location: Wellington Region, Lower Hutt, New Zealand Contract: Fixed‑term, full‑time (1–2 years), commencing 28 January 2027. Responsibilities Provide face‑to‑face and remote support, coaching and mentoring to principals across the Wellington region. Facilitate one‑to‑one, cluster‑based and larger group sessions, including seminars and workshops. Build and strengthen relationships with principals, kura leaders and other leaders across the primary and secondary sectors. Share best practice, enable collaboration, and support transformational change in leadership capability. Work closely with regional colleagues and the national leadership team to share good practice and innovative approaches to curriculum design and teaching and learning. Act as a trusted adviser, addressing issues promptly and supporting leaders in making informed decisions. Qualifications Current or recently retired school principal (within the last 12 months) with deep first‑hand knowledge of principal responsibilities. Experience in both the primary and secondary sectors and a proven capacity to work across both. Strong management, strategic and instructional leadership skills. Ability to coach and support leaders across the sector, including primary, intermediate and secondary schools. High integrity, a strong standing in the sector, and the willingness to adhere to Public Service Standards of Integrity and Conduct. About the Team The Leader works within Te Mahau – Education Services, the key interface between the Ministry of Education and education providers. They collaborate with the integrated team, national advisory staff, and the wider network of leadership advisors across New Zealand. #J-18808-Ljbffr
