We support justice agencies to work together to deliver ambitious results for a fair and safe Aotearoa.Your role as a Senior Analyst is as a catalyst for change and improvement based on empirical data. Not just hunches or maybes, but well researched, robust data which tells a clear and engaging story.As a Senior Analyst in the Business Intelligence team, you are responsible for:* Providing technical leadership that strengthens responsiveness and maintains high technical standards. Enable usable access to data through robust data engineering, automated reporting, and clear stewardship of business rules, while lifting team capability through peer coaching and mentoring.* Leading the transition to an insights-led operating model by changing how data products are designed and delivered. Embed practices that move the Ministry beyond traditional data warehousing toward actionable, value-focused insights.* Supporting mandatory outputs across the Ministry by delivering timely, accurate datasets, and repeatable reporting. Lead regular business intelligence reporting and ad-hoc analysis to inform operational and strategic decision-making aligned with Ministry priorities and government targets.Now is an exciting time for you to become part of the Ministry of Justice in Sector Insights as the insights and advice we provide are highly sought after.
