Job Description In this dual‑role position, your primary focus will be chairside dental assisting, while also providing reception support when required. At Lumino The Palms, we’re committed to delivering high‑quality dental care and creating positive experiences for every patient who walks through our doors. As a Dental Assistant, you will: Assist clinicians during a variety of dental procedures Prepare treatment rooms and maintain high standards of sterilisation and infection control Monitor and manage clinical stock and supplies Help create a calm, comfortable, and positive experience for patients As a Receptionist, you will: Welcome patients with warmth and professionalism Manage appointments, enquiries, and bookings Process payments and complete general administrative tasks Support the smooth day‑to‑day operation of the practice No two days are the same, and you’ll be joining a supportive team that genuinely values your contribution. Qualifications Previous Dental Assistant experience is preferred; however, we are also open to candidates who are new to the profession and bring a positive attitude, strong customer service skills, and a willingness to learn. Full training will be provided for the right person. To be successful in this role, you’ll have: Previous Dental Assistant experience (preferred but not essential) Experience with sterilisation procedures and/or a strong customer service background Excellent communication skills and a friendly, team‑focused approach Strong attention to detail and organisational skillsConfidence using computers and the ability to learn new systems quickly A professional, patient‑focused attitude and excellent interpersonal skills A valid NZ Work rights and live locally Additional Information Role Details Hours: Monday to Wednesday: 8:30 am – 5:30 pm Thursday: 8:30 am – 5:00 pm Contract Term: Fixed‑term from 6 July 2026 to 25 May 2027 If you’re looking for an opportunity to make a difference while working in a practice that feels like home, we’d love to hear from you. #J-18808-Ljbffr
