Schindler are currently recruiting for electrical apprentices within the Christchurch region. Schindler manufactures, installs, services, and modernizes elevators, escalators, and moving walks for almost every type of buildings worldwide. The company specialises in the latest-technology engineering as well as mechanical and microprocessor technology. We are offering an electrical apprenticeship specialising in the industrial stream. Apprentices will gain experience in all aspects of elevator and escalator installation (mechanical and electrical), maintenance and repairs. This is a 3.5 – 4 year apprenticeship which will sees them not only becoming registered as an electrician but also gain industry specific certifications which are recognised worldwide. Here at Schindler apprentice intakes are usually twice a year with a maximum amount of 8-10 apprentices on the team at any one time. We are a friendly, supportive, and social team with passion in providing help to our apprentices to be their best. Our next upcoming intake will be starting early February 2024. We would like to be interviewing and recruiting late November/December this year.
