Mower Operator (Sports Field)

Join Our Team as a Sports Field Mower Operator! We are on the lookout for a reliable and skilled Sports Field Mower Operator to help maintain and enhance the quality of Auckland sports fields. As part of our team, you will be responsible for operating a Ride‑On Mower to keep sports turf pristine, ensuring even mowing and a healthy, professional finish on a variety of sports fields. This is a hands‑on role that requires keen attention to detail and a strong understanding of turf maintenance. Key Responsibilities: Safely operate a Ride‑On Mower to maintain sports turf and other outdoor areas Ensure mowing is done to the highest standards, keeping grass healthy and looking great Conduct routine equipment checks and maintain machinery in good working order Report any maintenance or repair issues to the supervisor promptly Assist with other turf management tasks such as edging, line marking, and general upkeep Adhere to safety procedures and company guidelines to maintain a safe work environment Key Requirements: Experience operating a range of different mowers is advantageous such as Tractor, Ride‑On, Reel Mowers and Pegasus attachments A valid and clean Class 1 licence is essential and a Class 2 driver’s (learners, restricted or full) licence would be highly beneficial Strong attention to detail, with a focus on delivering top‑quality work Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team Physically fit and able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions Excellent communication skills and a positive, health and safety focused can‑do attitude What We Offer At Green by Nature, you’ll have the opportunity to work alongside professionals, expand your knowledge, and develop your career in sports field maintenance.
