Position: Gastroenterologist (Senior Medical Officer). Qualifications Must become registered to practice with the Medical Council of New Zealand. Practicers need to meet competency standards and hold Annual Practising Certificates (APCs) to work safely and effectively. Background in Gastroenterology or related specialty. Salary The average salary package for Gastroenterologists in New Zealand is USD ~$193,814 (NZD $343,500). Packages are comprised of a base salary based on experience, plus allowances, and superannuation per the ASMS collective agreement.
