The Opportunity | Te Kōwhiringa As our Surfacing Supervisor, you’ll plan, organise and lead our regional surfacing crew to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard. You’ll work closely with our Operations Manager and Delivery Manager to deliver programmes of work, optimise resources, and maintain strong customer relationships. This is a hands‑on leadership role where you will drive quality, productivity and Zero Harm performance across your team. Your responsibilities will include: Lead, support and mentor surfacing crews, ensuring strong team culture and high performance. Oversee day‑to‑day surfacing operations, including chip stockpiling, QA processes, and audits. Work with delivery teams to programme and execute workflows effectively. Ensure all QA documentation, ITPs and as‑builts are completed accurately. Maintain excellent customer relationships and identify new business opportunities. Drive Zero Harm by promoting safe, responsible behaviour and ensuring compliance. Coordinate plant, people and resources for optimal utilisation. We’re looking for someone who brings both technical surfacing knowledge and the ability to lead and inspire a team. A strong background in surfacing/sealing operations. Proven experience supervising teams in roading or civil construction. Knowledge of surfacing specifications, QA procedures and audits. Strong planning and organisational skills. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written. Computer literacy and the ability to track and report on performance.
