About The Role We are looking for a motivated and experienced Trade Sales Supervisor to join our team in Rotorua. As a hands‑on leader, you will oversee the day‑to‑day operations of the trade area while supporting and developing the team to deliver exceptional service to our valued trade customers. This role requires leading by example—particularly during our busy early morning trade rush—to ensure customers receive prompt, efficient, and friendly service. You will also coordinate stock movements, coach team members, and step into a leadership role in the absence of the Branch Manager. Your Responsibilities Oversee the efficient day‑to‑day running of the trade area Lead from the front with exceptional customer service and sales ability Assist the Branch Manager in supervising and developing the trade team Prioritise and coordinate daily team schedules to ensure key projects are completed on time Handle customer queries and provide tailored product and delivery solutions Build and maintain strong relationships with trade clients and team members Monitor and report stock issues to the Branch Inventory Controller Maintain high standards of health and safety within the branch A Quick Glance At What We Need From You Previous experience in team leadership or supervision, preferably in the trade/building/construction industry Knowledge of plumbing products and the industry is advantageous but not essential (training provided) A proactive and positive attitude – we value the right mindset over experience A customer‑focused approach with strong communication skills Ability to think on your feet and problem‑solve in a fast‑paced environment Reliable, organised, and self‑motivated To be Successful in This Role You Will Need to Bring Good with numbers and attention to detail Sound administration and logical problem‑solving skills Work well under pressure while displaying good sound logic Good sales & customer service skills Competent computer skills Full, clean New Zealand driver’s licence Physically fit as there will be some heavy lifting (up to 20 kg) Well presented with excellent interpersonal communication Our Culture We’re a team that shows up for each other and our customers.
