Job Overview Class 5 Truck Driver – Full‑time on‑site position in Tauranga, NNZ. The role involves covering all 24‑hour port operations, driving short‑haul assignments around the port, operating various truck makes and transmissions, and may include administrative/dispatch support. Positions available as permanent or casual drivers. Shifts are between 8‑12 hours in duration. Key Responsibilities Operate a variety of truck makes on any given day. Cover all shifts – night and day – in 24/7 port operations. Execute short‑haul routes around the port, including carting varied cargoes such as containers and bulk products. Use road ranger transmission where required. Provide backup for dispatcher duties when desired, including administrative and dispatching tasks. Qualifications & Requirements Class 5 driver licence. 12months or more of fully competent driver experience. Proven truck‑driving experience. Fluency in English, strong communication skills and time‑management. Ability to work unsupervised, meet deadlines, and follow standard operating procedures. Willingness to comply with health & safety policies and H&S procedures. Flexibility and reliability to work 8‑12 hour shifts across 24/7 operations. Potential for dispatch/administrative experience (preferred). Compensation Minimum hourly guarantee of $33.95 for fully competent drivers with a minimum of 12months experience.
