Job Description
About the Role The Administration Officer at Hutt Hospital Radiology is accountable for delivering a high‑quality service that functions safely, efficiently and effectively. The role provides all aspects of administration, including patient bookings, telephone, Radiology Information System (RIS) and Picture Archive and Communication System (PACS). Responsibilities Provide support for all Hutt Hospital Radiology staff to ensure high‑quality service delivery across the hospital. Support the establishment of a culture of continuous improvement that links the radiology service to overall hospital operational strategies. Foster excellence in operational standards and professional conduct for the service. Support new and innovative ideas that improve patient experience and outcomes. Identify emerging issues, risks, threats and opportunities early and mitigate these. Team / Service The team consists of approximately 80 staff, including radiologists, medical imaging technologists, sonographers, MRI technologists, nurses, health care assistants, administration/bookings staff and data/IT/quality staff. The department focuses on job satisfaction, teamwork and quality. Qualifications Excellent customer service, interpersonal and communication skills. Significant administrative work experience, ideally in a hospital setting. A tertiary qualification in a related field is an advantage. Strong teamwork ability and can also work independently with a positive attitude.
