Fabrication Foreman Location: Napier • Job type: Permanent We’re on the hunt for an experienced Fabrication Foreman to take ownership of shop floor operations and lead a high‑performing team across welding, rolling, pressing, assembly and finishing. This is a hands‑on leadership role where you’ll drive productivity, quality and safety while keeping jobs moving and the team aligned. Description Competitive pay rates based on experience Potential overtime Great team vibe and atmosphere What you’ll do: Working Foreman, 70% of the time on the tools Plan workflow to ensure jobs are delivered on time and to spec Manage and support a team of tradespeople and apprentices Run daily stand‑ups, track KPIs and keep production on schedule Maintain a strong health & safety culture Liaise with internal teams and customers on timelines and deliverables Drive continuous improvement, lean practices, and efficiency gains Work across a mix of materials (Aluminium, Mild Steel & Stainless) What you need: Trade qualified in Sheet Metal Fabrication (or similar) Proven experience in a foreman / supervisory role within a fabrication workshop Strong leadership skills, able to mentor, coach and hold a team accountable Solid understanding of job shop environments and production flow Ability to balance hands‑on work with leadership responsibilities Good communication and problem‑solving skills Lean / continuous improvement exposure (ideal, not essential) The perks: Lead a skilled, established team High‑impact role with real influence on production and performance Variety of work across materials and projects Opportunity to drive improvements and shape the workshop culture Social club events every quarter #J-18808-Ljbffr
