Role Summary Edge Academy | Founding Team | Auckland | Starting September 2027 We are delighted to invite expression of interest for teacher and educator opportunities at Edge Academy Auckland. As part of a pioneering primary education model, you will help build a new system that blends national and international curriculum foundations with intentional character development. This model is delivered through AI‑powered adaptive platforms and tightly structured workshops so that students prepare for exams and for life. What Makes This Role Different Morning: Academic Mastery Mornings focus on mastery of Mathematics, Reading, Science, Languages and Computing, fully aligned to the English National Curriculum. The three‑hour high‑intensity morning block leverages adaptive technology and expert teaching to maximise learning efficiency. Design and maintain clear KS2 progression pathways Define mastery benchmarks and non‑negotiables Use live data to identify and close gaps quickly Ensure automaticity, depth and secondary readiness Afternoon: Knowledge into Action Afternoons transition learning into projects, public speaking, leadership, entrepreneurship, real problems, real audiences, and real outcomes. Lead structured, high‑energy life‑skills workshops Coach every child to speak with clarity and confidence Develop resilience, ownership and goal‑setting Facilitate projects culminating in tangible outputs Build a culture where effort and excellence are unmistakable The Ideal Candidate Will Have We are looking for a rare combination of curriculum expertise, coaching presence, and builder mindset. Curriculum Architect Strong knowledge of the KS2 National Curriculum Experience across Years 3–6 Ability to design progression and identify conceptual gaps Confidence using data and assessment intelligently Phase or curriculum leadership experience desirable Coach & Culture Builder Strong presence and clarity of communication Comfortable leading groups dynamically Background in sport, performing arts, youth leadership or coaching welcomed Ability to motivate without micromanagement High standards, consistently calm and composed Intellectually Serious Belief that children can achieve far more than typical pacing assumes Comfortable with ambition and decisive action Logical thinking and composure under pressure Refusal to normalise mediocrity Builder Mindset Thrives in ambiguity and enjoys creating systems from scratch Not dependent on legacy structures Sees opportunity where others see risk Safeguarding Statement Inspired Education Group is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff, volunteers and other third parties to share this commitment.
