HCB Technologies is looking for a customer service superstar to join our team. This role is all about delivering fast, accurate and practical support to our customers, helping them get the right battery solution, keeping orders moving, and supporting profitable sales growth across the branch. This is a full‑time role, Monday to Friday, 8 am – 5 pm. What The Role Involves Serving trade, wholesale and retail customers at the counter and over the phone Helping customers identify the right battery, charger or power solution for the job Providing accurate product, pricing, availability and order information Picking, packing and processing customer orders accurately and efficiently Supporting branch sales activity through follow‑up calls, quotes and customer check‑ins Identifying opportunities to upsell, cross‑sell or recommend related products Following up quotes, lost sales, lapsed customers and customer enquiries Building strong relationships with our loyal trade and commercial customer base Supporting stock accuracy, inventory discipline and general branch operations Working closely with the wider branch team to deliver strong customer service, sales and margin outcomes Qualifications Customer service experience, ideally in automotive, trade, wholesale, parts, industrial or technical sales A genuine interest in automotive batteries, vehicles, electrical products or practical trade solutions Strong communication skills and the confidence to deal with customers over the phone and face to face Good computer skills, with basic Excel skills being an advantage Accuracy, attention to detail and the ability to follow process properly A proactive sales mindset, including the confidence to follow up quotes, call customers and spot opportunities The ability to work in a fast‑paced environment without turning accuracy into a casualty A team‑first approach, because everyone pitches in here A full NZ driver’s licence Battery knowledge would be a strong advantage, but it is not essential. If you have the right attitude, customer focus and willingness to learn, we can teach you the technical side.
