The finance function plays a key role in supporting operational performance and strategic decision making. The Role This Senior Financial Accountant position is a key role within the finance team, with a primary focus on financial reporting, technical accounting and tax, alongside some exposure to business partnering. You will take ownership of the month-end process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting, and contribute to the preparation of statutory accounts in line with IFRS requirements. You will also be responsible for preparing technical accounting papers, supporting audits and liaising with external advisors. While the role is predominantly technical, you will also provide financial insights to stakeholders across the business, translating data into meaningful recommendations and supporting decision making. Key Areas Of Responsibility Include Leading month-end close and preparing monthly management accounts Delivering statutory reporting and annual/half-year financial statements Preparing technical accounting papers and supporting audit processes Managing tax compliance activities with external advisors Supporting budgeting and forecasting processes Providing financial analysis and insights to business stakeholders Enhancing reporting capability through data, analytics and systems improvements Role Requirements CA qualification (or equivalent) Background in Big 4 or professional services, with audit, BAS or tax exposure Strong financial accounting and reporting expertise, ideally within IFRS Understanding of tax concepts and compliance requirements Advanced Excel skills and exposure to Power BI or similar tools Strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing deadlines Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders A practical, grounded approach and desire to take ownership of deliverables What’s in it for You?
