Cleaning Assistant - CHT Halldene

We are looking for a Cleaning Assistant to join our team at CHT Halldene in Red Beach, North Auckland. In this role, you’ll ensure our facilities are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene, creating a safe and comfortable environment for residents, staff, and visitors. Employment Details: Permanent full‑time position, 31 hours per week. Hours can be slightly flexible (e.g. starting earlier like 8 am). Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday – 5 hour morning shift; Wednesday – full day shift. Responsibilities Clean and maintain premises, fixtures, and fittings. Clean residents’ rooms and bathrooms, common areas, staff rooms, and lounges. Use of vacuum cleaners and related equipment. Work collaboratively with colleagues and follow company cleaning procedures. Qualifications Previous experience in a cleaning role, ideally in aged care or healthcare. A team player with good communication skills and a flexible attitude. Physically fit, reliable, and committed to maintaining high hygiene standards. Able to work independently and follow safety procedures. Holds or is willing to obtain a Police Clearance. Successful candidates must pass pre‑employment checks satisfactorily.
