About us Comcare is an established Mental Health and Housing provider assisting people with mental health and/or addiction issues to live well in the community. We provide a rich and diverse range of Mental Health Support Services, Housing and Housing Support Services. The Community Integration Service works with people who have complex social or other issues that create barriers for successful community living and supports them to problem‑solve a pathway forward to independence. About this role The successful person will have experience in the mental health sector and skills in collaborative planning for clients with complex needs, thinking outside the square and developing service provision based on a strengths model. This position is a combination of a service delivery role and developmental role that offers the opportunity for a skilled Allied Health staff member with mental health experience to engage in the more complex transition work of the Community Integration Service and provide clinical guidance to the Community Integration Service alongside the Clinical Team Leader. What you’ll be doing Deliver high‑quality, recovery‑focused community integration. Provide transition planning for people with complex needs. Coordinate multi‑agency partnerships. Apply allied health expertise. Support culturally responsive and client‑centred practice. Ensure transitions are well planned, sustainable, and aligned with Comcare policies, outcomes and health and safety requirements. Provide clinical support to other Comcare Services on request. Explore and develop discipline‑specific skills within a progressive community‑based organisation. About you To be successful in this role, you will have: Tertiary Qualification in Mental Health related occupation and/or Allied Health Practitioner (e.g., Nursing, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Psychology, Criminal Justice). A minimum National Certificate in Health & Wellbeing level 4 or equivalent level 4 qualification relevant to social service provision. Minimum 3 years’ experience in the mental health and social services sector. A current full, clean driver’s licence. Demonstrated cultural awareness, knowledge of, and commitment to the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
