Job Description Quarantine Officer – Permanent, full‑time. Location: Queenstown. Starting salary: $68,755 per annum. Start date: 14 September 2026. About The Role Quarantine Officers are highly trained operators who work to ensure cargo and passengers entering New Zealand are free of biosecurity risk. Officers work on a rotational roster across international airports, ports, mail centres and cargo facilities. The role involves a mix of classroom theory and on‑the‑job training, with clear career progression from Officer to Senior to Chief. Shifts are varied and may include hours outside 6am–6pm Monday to Sunday. The position requires standing for periods of time and working both indoors and outdoors.
