Job Description
Administrator / Typist – Taupo Hospital Position: Permanent Full‑time (Monday to Friday 08:00 - 16:30) The Southern Lakes Community Mental Health & Addictions Service (CMHAS) is seeking an experienced Administrator / Typist to provide high‑quality administrative and clinical typing support to community clinicians. The role involves scheduling, data entry, and patient record management with a focus on accuracy and confidentiality. Responsibilities Support clinicians through administrative and reception duties to ensure smooth service continuity. Organise administrative elements of clinical duties, including filing, ordering stock and checking IMI supply. Provide authoritative clinical typing services and maintain accurate records. Work independently, meeting deadlines while maintaining high quality outputs. Multitask and practice methodical work habits to achieve high accuracy. Foster teamwork and collaborate with colleagues across the CMHAS team. Follow the Te Ara Tauwhirotanga Model of Care pathways, acting with kindness and respect. Qualifications At least 3-5 years of experience in administrative functions. Proven competence with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook) and data‑entry skills. Fast and accurate keyboard skills with a minimum typing speed of 45 wpm. Strong time‑management and prioritisation abilities. Ability to work under pressure and adhere to timeframes.
