Controls Engineer

We are recruiting for an industry-leading manufacturer who are developing a highly automated production facility in Gisborne. As part of their ongoing development, they are adding a Controls Engineer to the existing team. Responsibilities Analyse plant functionality: record and analyse production, identify improvements and coordinate delivery. Design, implement and maintain automation and controls. Drive plant improvement and development with available budget. Program PLCs (Omron) and 20+ robots in the plant. Collaborate with a team of 5‑8 engineers focused on plant optimisation. Qualifications 1‑5 years experience in automation & controls. PLC programming and HMI configuration; no bias towards a particular vendor. Degree qualified or industry‑experienced. Hands‑on attitude willing to roll up sleeves and help others. This is a hugely exciting opportunity to work in a highly automated plant and have a real say in the development of the business and implementing new technologies.
