Line Mechanic Trainee

We are currently seeking a motivated individual to join our team as a Trainee Line Mechanic on a full-time, permanent basis. About the role Reporting to the Lines Supervisor, you will: Undertake structured training and gain practical experience installing and maintaining overhead and underground electricity network infrastructure Assist qualified Line Mechanics with construction, maintenance, and fault response work Support cable laying and vegetation management activities Build strong working relationships with customers and stakeholders Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard About you This is an ideal opportunity to develop your career in the electricity supply industry. You will bring: NCEA passes in Maths and English (minimum) Working towards a Level 4 Line Mechanic qualification (or willingness to undertake training) A current full New Zealand Driver Licence is essential. Applicants who do not hold a current NZ Driver Licence will not be considered. Ability and willingness to obtain a Class 2 Driver Licence within 12 months of commencement. First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain) Good communication and problem‑solving skills A strong focus on health and safety Ability to work at heights and in physically demanding environments A positive attitude and willingness to learn What's in it for you?
