About the Role We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced New Zealand Registered Dietitian to join our dynamic, supportive, and self-motivated team as a Core Dietitian . This is a permanent full‑time role with 1.0FTE / 40 hours per week . The role is based at Auckland City Hospital and will have the opportunity to work across a number of different wards and in the outpatient setting. You’ll be part of the Clinical Support Services Dietetic team . working in partnership with an individual and their whānau to provide nutrition assessment and education develop and progress your clinical skills and knowledge in the comprehensive management of medical patients make positive contributions to patient care within our Nutrition and Dietetics team whilst ensuring a thorough clinical reasoning process optimise patient experience by utilising your excellent interpersonal communication skills implement individual intervention and monitoring plans tailored for client needs collaborate with team members and other work groups to achieve our service objectives work on developing positive working relationships with our clients / patients, whānau / family. About the Team/Service/Location Our team is made up of passionate and supportive dietitians who are dedicated to advocating for our patients and enhancing nutrition‑related outcomes within our community. We consist of 29.8FTEs, working across both inpatient and outpatient settings. About you As the ideal person for this role, you will have the following skills and attributes: New Zealand Registered Dietitian with a current Annual Practicing Certificate with prescribing endorsement A passion to work in a variety of clinical settings Ideally have at least two years post graduate experience Full, clean NZ Drivers License Be a great connector of people and ideas An understanding of bicultural issues and commitment to the Treaty of Waitangi Ability to work collaboratively with a range of professional groups in a multidisciplinary setting Effective time management, flexibility, prioritisation and organisational skills Drive, energy and initiative with excellent communication and interpersonal skills Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is dedicated to ensuring excellent healthcare for the people of New Zealand.
