Job Description

Clinical Sleep Physiologist – Respiratory Service, Middlemore Hospital, Counties Manukau (Permanent, Part‑Time 0.9FTE) About the role Working within a large multidisciplinary team of Respiratory and Sleep specialists, you will contribute to the delivery of high‑quality sleep diagnostic services and treatment across the community. This includes home‑based sleep studies, interpretation of results, initiation of PAP therapy, and ongoing management of patients on PAP therapy. In addition, alongside Clinical Nurse Specialists, you will provide clinical guidance and supervision to Community Health Workers and contribute to ongoing service development and improvement initiatives within a growing area of the service. Responsibilities Conduct home‑based sleep studies and interpret results. Initiate and manage PAP therapy for patients. Provide clinical guidance and supervision to Community Health Workers. Contribute to service development and improvement initiatives. Work autonomously and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Qualifications Registration with the Clinical Physiologists Registration Board (CPRB) and a current Annual Practising Certificate (APC), or eligibility to obtain. Postgraduate Diploma of Medical Technology (Sleep Medicine) or equivalent, or willingness to undertake. Minimum of 2years experience in sleep physiology. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Patient‑focused, flexible, and adaptable approach. Full NewZealand driver’s licence.
