Position Overview Senior Propulsion Components Development Engineer in the Space Systems Propulsion team. Responsibilities Own development of new or existing fluid system components, acting as technical lead through the end‑to‑end process. Perform conceptual and detailed CAD design, calculations, analysis, and system integration for propulsion components. Prototype, develop and test designs; support procurement and production of hardware for development and flight. Oversee flight hardware, tooling and test rigs required for development and qualification. Review and approve drawings, 3D PMI, reports, and specifications. Conduct systems engineering tasks including requirements gathering, definition, and stakeholder communication. Build and maintain project schedules, identify risk and priority, and assign tasks to team members. Mentor and coach teammates on technical and professional development. Required Qualifications Engineering degree and 5+ years of experience in propulsion development or equivalent high‑performance field. Experience with fluid system components such as valves and regulators. Hands‑on experience in end‑to‑end development: requirements, design, qualification, production, and acceptance testing. Detailed mechanical CAD skills (NX preferred or equivalent), and PLM experience such as Teamcenter. Ability to review design documents and approve release of production parts. Comfortable working with ambiguity, making decisions based on engineering principles and available information. Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills. Nice to Have Project leadership experience with scheduling and delivery management. Test engineering experience: test planning, instrumentation, data analysis, and report writing. Python programming for data manipulation and post‑processing. Advanced degrees (Master’s or Doctorate). Benefits Competitive base salary ($82,000—$126,000 USD for CA).
