What Makes This Role Great In this role, you will act as the operational heartbeat of our regional logistics services, orchestrating harvesting contractors and logging trucks to maximize fleet utilization while minimizing distribution costs. You will move beyond routine scheduling to become a high-impact problem solver, directly supporting regional management and creating a positive, safety-first operations culture through collaborative leadership. Key Responsibilities Coordinate and schedule harvesting contractors and logging trucks dynamically to optimize daily load uplifts and fleet utilization. Execute and monitor complex wood flow plans using specialized logistics software to guarantee successful commercial outcomes for clients. Solve immediate operational bottlenecks on the ground, negotiating directly with suppliers and customers in the field when issues arise. Track, analyze, and report on critical production, inventory, and delivery targets to maintain supply chain transparency. Essential Skills & Experience Strong professional communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships and negotiate with suppliers, customers, and contractors. Proven experience managing multiple operational priorities and solving problems calmly under pressure. High level of IT literacy with exceptional organizational and structured time management abilities. Legal entitlement to work in New Zealand. Bonus Points For Tertiary level qualification such as a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Forestry, Logistics, or Business. Prior operational knowledge or direct experience working within the forestry or trucking industry.
