About the Role An opportunity has arisen for a full-time Specialist Otorhinolaryngologist (ORL Surgeon) to join the expanding ORL team at Bay of Plenty Hauora a Toi. This 1.0 FTE (40 hours per week) role supports service delivery across both Tauranga and Whakatāne Hospitals, serving a wide population across the Bay of Plenty. As a valued member of the ORL team, you will provide acute and planned care across both adult and paediatric populations, contribute to clinical supervision, support junior medical staff (including one Registrar and one House Officer), and participate equally in the on‑call roster. Team / Service / Location You will be part of a supportive and growing Otorhinolaryngology team delivering services across the stunning coastal region of the Bay of Plenty. The ORL service is a small but growing team committed to delivering high‑quality, equitable ENT care. Our service operates across two sites, supported by a network of committed clinicians, surgical teams, and clinical leaders. What you will bring Fellowship or qualifications suitable for vocational registration in ORL with the Medical Council of New Zealand. Eligibility for vocational registration within two years (if not already registered). A team‑focused mindset with a strong commitment to equitable service delivery. Clinical experience in both paediatric and adult ENT care. Ability to contribute to the acute roster and support junior medical staff.
