The Independent Living team at Community Care Trust Aotearoa is seeking motivated and compassionate people to join our Dunedin | Ōtepoti team. We have both full‑time and part‑time opportunities available. Based from our local Operations Hub, you'll be part of a close‑knit team of around 30 Community Based Support Workers who work together to support people to achieve their goals and live great lives. Our team values collaboration, encouragement, humour, and celebrating successes together. No two days are the same. You'll support a variety of people in their homes and communities, building positive relationships and helping them develop independence, confidence, and community connections. You'll enjoy the balance of working independently while always having the support of an experienced team around you. Alongside meaningful work and ongoing professional development opportunities, this role offers predominantly daytime hours, permanent set shifts, and typically only one later evening shift, making it easier to maintain a healthy work‑life balance. Key Responsibilities | Ngā kawenga matua Building positive relationships and rapport with the people we support. Working alongside individuals to achieve their goals and aspirations. Supporting people to access their local community and strengthen their support networks. Encouraging independence, confidence, and community participation. Completing competency‑based training to develop skills and qualifications. Working regular set shifts, including one weekend day. Completing administration tasks related to support delivery. What you will bring | Ngā tohunga mō tēnei tūranga A current First Aid Certificate (or willingness to complete one at our cost). A full current New Zealand Driver Licence (essential). Legal eligibility to work in New Zealand. A valid work visa with at least 12 months remaining until expiry. A positive attitude, strong communication skills, and a genuine desire to support others.
