Registered Nurse - Chemotherapy & Day Stay

Registered Nurse – Chemotherapy and Day Stay Unit (Rotorua & Taupo hospitals) Part‑time roles available. About the Role We are a day unit open from 0800‑1630hrs Monday‑Friday. We administer Chemotherapy and Immunotherapy treatments and other medical infusions to both cancer and non‑cancer patients. The unit also services and runs the Taupo Chemotherapy unit two days per week (this may change). The successful applicant must be able to drive to Taupo on rostered rotations (one of these days is from 0700‑1730hrs). The unit supports chemotherapy, CVAD and IV training and certifications. Team & Service We are a small collegial team that supports one another. We have 3 on‑site oncologists and 2 weekly local haematologists. Much of the work involves communication over phone or email, so good communication skills are necessary. Qualifications & Skills Three or more years of nursing experience. IV cannulation certification; port certification is a bonus. Assessment skills for evaluating treatment side effects. Chemo experience is a bonus.
