Role Description The Yard & Drive Thru Team Member role at PlaceMakers Wairau Park is a full‑time, on‑site position based in Auckland. This role involves safely loading and unloading customer vehicles and delivery trucks, including handling building materials and hardware products in the yard and drive‑thru area. The team member will assist customers with product inquiries, ensure orders are accurately picked and staged, and maintain a clean, safe, and well‑organized yard environment. Daily tasks also include operating vehicles and equipment as required, following health and safety procedures, and working closely with colleagues to provide efficient and friendly service. The role requires a hands‑on approach, reliability, and a strong focus on delivering a positive customer experience. Qualifications Skills and experience in truck driving and operating trucks safely within a yard or delivery environment. Valid CDL Class A or equivalent heavy vehicle license, with a strong focus on safe driving practices. Strong communication skills to coordinate with team members, drivers, and customers clearly and professionally. Proven customer service skills, with the ability to assist customers, resolve queries, and provide a friendly, helpful experience. Physical fitness and the ability to safely lift and handle building materials, along with adherence to health and safety standards. Experience in warehousing, yard operations, or the building materials industry is beneficial. Reliable, punctual, and able to work full time, including some weekend or rostered shifts as required. Basic numeracy and literacy skills for reading orders, labels, and processing documentation; forklift license or willingness to train is an advantage. #J-18808-Ljbffr
